Steve Blake Inks $16 Million Contract with LA Lakers 1

It was more than just a business decision. Millionaire apparent Steve Blake agreed to a $16 million 4-year contract with Los Angeles Lakers on 2 July 2010. Steve Blake was traded to Los Angeles Clippers a few months back and this writer believes that the move to have him play for the Los Angeles Lakers has something to do with losing Jordan Farmar and Derek Fisher.

Once named as one of the elite point guards in the US, Jordan Farmar recently became a free agent and it’s still not specifically ascertained if he would return to the Los Angeles Lakers. Whether Jordan Farmar returns or not, the Los Angeles Lakers would have Steve Blake to play point guard. That in itself was a good Lakers move.
