John Edwards, a political figure who bid for the highest office fathered a child with a woman who worked for him during his campaign in 2008. And that was only a year after his wife of 32 years Elizabeth Edwards told the press that she had stage 4 terminal cancer that invaded her breast to her bones. But no matter what, Elizabeth Edwards vowed to continue to support John Edwards’ campaign.

Elizabeth Edwards was more than just a better half of her husband. Elizabeth Edwards was always on John Edwards side since their college days. They took the bar exam together in 1977 and gotten married the day after. John Edwards borrowed money from his folks to afford a one night honey-moon and he gave Elizabeth Edwards an $11 ring. Elizabeth Edwards wore that ring for 32 years. On their first wedding anniversary, the couple went to Wendy’s where they would celebrate their anniversary each year. And even though she acquired cancer, Elizabeth Edwards continued to stay on her husband’s side, even up to the time of the very stressful presidential campaign.
