Al Gore: Save The World, Save your Marriage! 1

40 years is a very long time to be married to a person. I mean you sleep and wake up with the same person for a little less than 15,000 days. That’s a lot of time to be spending with one person. And so when a couple has been married for 40 years, you would think that they have already proven something to each other: that there is such a thing called love.

Today, marriage succeeds as often as it fails. Yes, divorce can happen to any couple. But I never thought it could happen to Al and Tipper Gore and nobody thought it could happen to Al and Tipper Gore after 40 years!

Come on, I never once believed in Al Gore’s political agenda and his climate change mambo jumbo but, he and wife Tipper Gore led me to believe that love happens. The childhood sweethearts love story, an image of a happy couple, and who can ever forget that kiss on the 2000 Democratic Presidential convention? I mean I liked them together as a couple than individually! Al and Tipper Gore were the perfect models for a Hallmark card moment. Or so I thought.
